Blind Date is a hopelessly addicting half-hour dating show that aired in syndication for 7 seasons. A man and a woman (who don’t know each other) are paired up and sent out on a date followed by camera crews and enhanced with a multitude of on-screen editorial zingers. When it premiered in 1999, Blind Date re-wrote the rules of television storytelling by mining one of our eraʼs truly universal social rituals for humor, pathos and sly insight into the nature of contemporary urban relationships. Blind Date emerged as one of the iconic programs of its era.
